Breasha Pruitt has over 15 years of gymnastics experience helping with all aspects of gymnastics. Coaching State, Regional, and National Accomplishments. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Human Development & Leadership/ Nonprofit Youth Organization from Murray State University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from University of Southern Indiana. She was offered full ride gymnastics scholarships from Louisiana State University, University of Kentucky, Penn State University , Western Michigan University and University of Georgia. She accepted a full ride scholarship to University of Georgia. She is CPR certified as well as holds a certification as a Meet Director through USA Gymnastics. Breasha has a wonderful personality and giving heart. She goes well above and beyond for everyone. She is passionate about helping athletes and excited to embark on the new journey as Owner at Breasha Pruitt Elite Gymnastics. When asked about one thing she is looking forward to as Owner she replied, “ I don’t have one thing , I have many !, I look forward to the opportunities to help give back, to help students enjoy the wonders of the sport, to be able to offer classes, create champions, help athletes succeed in their own personal way, to provide safe activities for the kids in the community to enjoy as well as being able to recycle the gift that God blessed me with.”
At the age of 11 she moved to Houston Texas to train at Cypress Academy and to follow her dream to go to the Olympics. Later she relocated to Allentown Pennsylvania to continue to reach her dream of the Olympics at Parkettes. While in TX and PA Breasha lived with a total of 5 host families. She graduated from Henderson County High School in Henderson KY.
After graduating college Breasha began working as the Director of the 21st Century Community Learning Center federal grant in KY for 5 years. The program was a 1.7 million dollar grant. She implemented programs and policies to help increase the achievement rate in academics, behavior and social skills. After the grant term she moved on to work for Indiana Workforce Development where she was an Performance Monitoring Specialist who monitored staff members in 9 Indiana counties of Region 11 to ensure policies and procedures were implemented and followed. She enjoyed both jobs very much.
